Lambert airport provides Caribbean vacation spot

NS. LOUIS – The two busiest airlines serving St. Louis Lambert International Airport are adding two flights, the facility said Thursday.

First, starting November 13, Southwest Airlines will begin offering flights from St. Louis to San Juan, Puerto Rico, with weekly flights on Saturdays. It marks a new non-stop destination for Lambert. Southwest began selling tickets for the San Juan flight Thursday.

On Thursday, American Airlines announced that it would begin a once-daily round-trip flight from Lambert to Austin in September. An additional daily flight will be added to the route until October 7th. Tickets can be purchased from June 14th. Southwest is currently Lambert’s only airline with non-stop service to Austin.
