The Bahamas’ SLS Baha Mar Is Open Once more Caribbean Journal

The Bahamas’ SLS Baha Mar is open again.

The resort, one of only two SLS-branded resorts in the wider Caribbean, has officially welcomed guests again this month.

The reopening completes the relaunch of the Baha Mar resort complex and joins the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar and Rosewood Baha Mar resorts.

The property has reopened with a variety of new health and safety measures, including performing a rapid antigen test for all guests prior to check-in. (In addition to Bahamas pre-arrival testing requirements).

The resort also offers free on-site quick tests on departure to help travelers meet current CDC requirements for returning travelers.

“We are very excited to welcome our growing community of travelers back to SLS Baha Mar for an invigorating, unique vacation experience,” said Axel Gasser, Vice President & General Manager, SLS Baha Mar.

In a significant step for the Bahamas’ tourism industry, both of the country’s megaresorts have now been opened, with the Baha Mar after the relaunch of Atlantis Paradise Island.

SLS, part of the Accor portfolio, recently opened its second regional property, SLS Cancun on Mexico’s Caribbean coast.
